Binding Agreement : By signing our quotation, paying an advance, or allowing our crew to commence work, you (“Customer”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These prevail over any other terms unless expressly agreed in writing by IMove Global.
1. Basis of Quotation
- Exchange Rates & Levies – Prices are calculated on Government levies, railway/shipping rates, duties, and exchange rates in force on the quotation date. Any change before invoice date is recoverable from the Customer.
- Access – Quotation assumes a practical road/approach for trucks and crew to the building entrance (ground / first floor). Extra handling, hoisting, or shuttle vehicles will incur additional charges.
- Building Constraints – Where doors, stairways, elevators, or corridors are inadequate, IMove Global may at its discretion use balconies, windows, cranes, or rope tackle at additional cost. The Customer indemnifies the company for any resultant property damage.
2. Roads, Driveways & Approaches
Unless the Customer supplies written notice declaring an access way unfit for heavy vehicles, IMove Global is authorised to use such access. The company is not liable for damage to roads, kerbs, paths, or driveways in the absence of prior written instruction.
3. Dangerous or Prohibited Goods
- Explosives, corrosives, flammables, pressurised cylinders, firearms, perishables, or any illegal items will not be accepted.
- If discovered, IMove Global may remove, destroy, or dispose of such goods at the Customer’s expense, with no liability for loss.
- The Customer is responsible for all loss, damage, injury, or cost caused by undeclared hazardous goods.
4. Customer Responsibilities
- Ensure no article to be moved is left behind and no fixture or fitting is taken in error.
- Protect any goods left in unoccupied premises; IMove Global bears no liability for unattended items.
- Provide clear access and accurate contact details at both origin and destination.
5. Working Hours & Delays
Services are priced for normal business hours (07:30 – 17:00, Monday – Friday, excluding public holidays). Delays outside the control of IMove Global (e.g., Customer unprepared, building restrictions, traffic bans) will be billed at prevailing hourly rates.
6. Payment Terms
- Full removal charge is payable prior to collection unless agreed otherwise in writing.
- Payments cover packing, transport, delivery, and (if opted) insurance.
- Non-payment authorises IMove Global to withhold delivery and charge storage or lien expenses.
7. Acceptance of Quotation
The Customer must sign IMove Global’s Acceptance Form or confirm via authorised e-mail/portal. Commencement of work without written signature, but with oral / digital confirmation and payment, constitutes acceptance of these terms.
8. Transit Insurance
- Value Declaration – The Customer declares total value at time of packing and provides itemised values.
- Exclusions – Currency, jewellery, documents, software, perishable items, alcohol, goods packed by owner/third party, normal wear, mechanical/electrical malfunction, and leakage damage are excluded.
- Existing Damage – Pre-existing or internal/latent defects are not covered.
- Settlement – Claims are settled strictly per insurer’s surveyor report; IMove Global’s liability is limited to insurance proceeds.
9. Claims & Notification
- Damage claims must be notified in writing within 7 days of delivery.
- Loss claims must be notified within 7 days of the expected delivery date.
- Pending claims do not permit withholding of due payments.
10. Volume Estimate & Final Billing
Quotation is based on estimated cubic volume. Final invoice will be raised on actual packed volume measured at origin. Additional volume, services, storage, detours, or waiting time will be billed separately.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute, difference, or claim arising out of this contract shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka.
